Bowling Greens

Using rubber in a bowling green ditch has great perks. It keeps the area sturdy, preventing erosion and protecting the bowls from damage. Plus, it's low-maintenance and lawn mower safe, giving you a long lasting product that is easy to maintain.

A Standard Bowling Green requires 50 x 20kg bags of our rubber chippings. They are supplied in 20kg bags to ensure our customers can deal with the amount ordered, and easier application into the ditch fill.

  • Protects Bowls

Integrating rubber into a bowling green ditch offers a range of advantages. The resilient properties of rubber create a durable barrier, safeguarding bowls from potential damage.

  • Lawn Mower Safe

Choose our rubber surfacing for a worry-free mowing experience. It's safe for lawn mowers, gentle on blades, ensuring both a durable surface and the longevity of your equipment.

  • Permeable

Drainage is a big problem for urban areas. Our rubber surfacing (including resin bound) is completely permeable meaning waters drains away with no puddling or pooling.

  • Weed Suppressant

Our rubber surfacing not only suppresses weed growth but also ensures a low-maintenance and clean environment, enhancing the overall comfort and enjoyment of your bowling green experience.

  • Maintenance

Our products require minimal maintenance and the rubber keeps it colour for many years. It also does not require an annual top up, leaving you with a product that lasts.

  • Sturdy

Chippings often blow away or rot, our rubber surfacing does neither. It maintains its form, not rotting or decomposing and does not blow away.

Installing Bowling Green Ditch

The team headed North last week to install bowling green ditch fill for Whitley and Monkseaton Bowling Club. First job was removing the sand filling the ditches. Next they laid out and fit the fabric membrane into place. Membrane is very useful as there is no need for chemical weed killer or laborious weed removal.
