Manufacture and design of flooring for a major tourist attraction

Hannah Jones · September 06, 2017

We really proved we are no muggles when we were asked to design, manufacture and install the flooring for a major tourist attraction in Watford.

We had several months of intensive development work just to get the colouring for the flooring right!

The flooring was made from our recycled rubber mulch material, and although forbidden to mention the client, they were delighted with the forest flooring work we carried out for them!
The material was laid as a rubber mulch bound together with a polyurethane resin, which is then trowelled and floated into place – directly on to the concrete floor.

The mulch is manufactured from used vehicle tyres and is shredded to produce a varied thickness material that is then polyurethane coated to create a very versatile and long lasting surfacing material.

Unfortunately the ‘scourgify’ spell doesn’t work to clean it – you have to use old fashioned muggle elbow grease in the form of warm soapy water and a mop (not a broomstick!)
